What equipment is needed to trap a groundhog?
• Groundhog trap: This trap is specially designed to catch a Tennessee groundhog. It usually comes with the size 12-16 inches. It has dual entryways so you can catch more than one groundhog.
• Another type of trap comes with 10 to 20 pieces of wood and this trap you can find it generally in most of the shops.
• Other instruments required: You will not require having any more instruments except 2 which are mallet and staple weapons.

How to assemble?
Assemble of the trap is quite easy. You just need to attach the fencing to the arranging stakes. Also, there must be the instructions given on the label.

Some Important Instructions:
• Open the spring door-gate wood or wire mesh trap and place directly in front of the entrance to the groundhog burrow. If the burrow has more than one entrance, do not block the rest openings with stones, rocks, branches, and trunks., This will encourage the groundhog to use only the entrance that is closest to the trap.
• Prepare a natural balance of the Tennessee groundhog at the entrance of the trap. Drag the trap on the ground back and forth. This action will cover the base of the trap with the earth and induce the groundhog to enter the trap to live.
•Place a larger amount of bait inside the trap beyond the activation of the trap. This placement of the bait will seduce the groundhog and it can easily enter into the trap.
•Inspect the trap at regular intervals during the day and night to check if a groundhog is trapped. Immediately call and report to wildlife animal removal in your city, they will come to your place and relocate them in its proper place.

Tips and warnings:
• Cover the trap when a Nashville groundhog is inside to keep the animal quiet. Groundhogs keep calm when they are kept in the dark.
• Secure the live trap firmly on the ground. This will prevent the groundhog from dragging the trap into its burrow, once it is trapped. Do not pet or harass as it can bite and grab you with its sharp teeth and claws.
